Executive Director Named to Out100 List
The Annual Issue Honors Changemakers in the LGBTQ+ Community Across Entertainment, Politics, Activism, Sports, and More
Washington, DC - The Wanda Alston Foundation is proud to announce that its Executive Director, Cesar Toledo, has been named to Out Magazine’s prestigious Out100 list, an annual celebration of the nation’s most influential and pioneering LGBTQ+ leaders across entertainment, politics, activism, sports, and beyond.
This national honor comes at a time when DC is under unprecedented attack and LGBTQ+ youth homelessness is on the rise.
“After a decade on the frontlines advancing equality, from electing out LGBTQ+ candidates to leading the largest LGBTQ+ voter outreach effort in presidential campaign history for Harris-Walz, I’m deeply honored to be recognized alongside so many visionaries and changemakers,” said Cesar Toledo.
“This honor is a reminder that our fight is far from over. Homelessness among queer youth is on the rise, and they are counting on us now more than ever. They deserve the chance to thrive, to dream boldly, and to live without fear. I’m building toward that future. And I’m just getting started.”
This year’s Out100 theme, “Bolder, Brighter!”, speaks to the LGBTQ+ individuals who continue to lead with resilience, courage, and joy in the face of adversity. Cesar Toledo joins an illustrious list of trailblazers who have significantly impacted the world, both within and beyond the LGBTQ+ community.
This year’s list also includes Icon of the Year Niecy Nash-Betts, along with music artists Doechii; esteemed actors/actresses Rosie O’Donnell, Keke Palmer, Tramell Tillman; drag stars Bob the Drag Queen; comedians Caleb Hearon, Meg Stalter, Owen Thiele, Matt Rogers, Amber Ruffin; fashion icons Bob Mackie and Paul Tazewell; political figures Rep. Sarah McBride, and more.
